So I have finally joined the Blogosphere. For someone who loves to write, it's amazing that it has taken me this long to get on board.
This may seem like an odd subject for a first blog, but does anyone else get stumped by CAPTCHA's? You know, those undecipherable words you have to type so a website can make sure you aren't an auto-spammer? I'll be going along, happily signing up for a free subscription to some parenting magazine, when I get to the CAPTCHA and all of a sudden I'm supposed to be able to translate some alien language before I can continue. Who writes these things? And they aren't even real words! Is it bogliu, or boqio, or loogu??? How can I tell if I'm spelling it correctly if it's NOT A REAL WORD? I always have to get different words about fifteen times until I finally get something halfway sensical. To whoever invented CAPTCHA, I just want to say thank you for making it easier to break into Fort Knox than it is to get a flippin' magazine subscription.
